Sherlock Holmes' skull was a skull that Sherlock Holmes had on his mantelpiece at 221B Baker Street. According to Sherlock, he likes to think aloud and works out problems by talking to his skull.[1]

The skull also appeared in the unaired pilot of Sherlock.

Behind the scenesEdit

  • The skull is actually a cast which had to be chiseled out to allow John Watson to hide Sherlock's cigarettes in the Hounds of Baskerville.[2]
